In the early stage of developing Z1, all the filter papers on the market were tested ( We've been working with a wide range of filter media, including non-paper filters, to find the perfect match for the Z1. Among numerous tests, only SIBARIST FAST filter paper performed exceptionally well, perfectly matching the Z1's needs. It quickly brews brightly flavored coffee with a clear, sweet taste. We've also worked hard to make this filter paper more affordable, so even a large pack of 300 filters is priced the same as standard OREA filters (Wave / Type-G).

Less waste

Brewing coffee with the Z1 will reduce paper waste by 7 times compared to traditional drip cups because the filter paper size is significantly reduced. Compared with similar products, the Z1 filter paper size is smaller. Additionally, in a zero-bypass setting, it's easier to brew at wider (and taller) ratios, using fewer beans to get great-tasting coffee, which can further reduce your daily impact.

In fact, we initially tried to design the size of Z1 based on some existing coffee equipment, whether it was Aeropress or other zero-bypass filter cups. The test results showed that these filter paper sizes were not ideal for Z1. After repeated attempts, we found that The 7cm base provides the best results.
