Undeniably vibrant, fruity, and well-structured, Kii returns to Seven Seeds for its second year. Bursting with fruit flavours, juicy acidity, and elegant structure, this classic Kenyan lot was selected once again for its exceptional cup quality. Roasted for filter, it showcases complex flavours and bright acidity. We recommend a coarse grind and a higher-than-usual coffee-to-water ratio, as Kenyan coffees are highly soluble and can lose clarity when brewed using standard recipes.
Operated by the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society, the Kii factory serves around 1,215 active members. Farmers typically cultivate 400 trees on plots averaging one-third of a hectare. The co-op runs three mills—Kii, Karimikui, and Kiangoi—and is managed by an elected board. In partnership with Sustainable Management Services, the co-op is focused on improving cup quality and yield. Cherry is delivered fresh, sorted, depulped, fermented overnight, washed with river water, and dried in full sun.
